Mason, Departed this life June 27, 2010. Mrs. Jessie R. Sherrod Mason of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Mason. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Mason; four sisters; Addie Sherrod, Agnes Sherrod, Margaret Young and Marian Bell; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Mary Sherrod; two brothers -in-law, Sherwood Bell and James Williams and other relatives and friends, among two caregivers, Michelle Baker and Kiwanna Scott. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at First African Baptist Church, 2700 Hanes Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Rodney D. Waller(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
