He is survived by his wife, Velvet Taylor; his mother, June Jasper; five sisters; Vanessa Booker(Jeffrey), Brenda Scott, Daphne Holman(Javan), Anita Royal(Henry) and Rhonda Jones(Robert); a host nieces, nephews and cousins, two step sons, Napoleon Battle(Melissa) and Shawn Battle; five step grandchildren; two great step grand children; a brother-in-law, Robert Short Sr.(Carolyn) and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue . Funeral services will be held Monday 11AM at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the cemetery 10:45AM Monday.
