Lewis, Departed this life September 14, 2010. Deaconess Lucy Watkins Lewis of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Lewis Sr. and her son, Garland Lewis Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Ernestine Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among them two devoted, Nettie and Mack Freeman; two sisters-in-law, Sarah O’Neal and Essie L. Owens; two brothers-in- law, Jasper and Joseph Lewis; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue . Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church 913 N. 1st Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Kenneth E. Dennis Sr.(pastor) off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
