Samuel Fields Archer

Archer, Departed this life September 14, 2010. Samuel F. Archer of Richmond. He was a member of VFW Post 9224. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lula Archer and two daughters, Alice Scott and Sandra Archer. He is survived by four sons; Clifford McGee, and Samuel Jr, Stanley B. and Russell Archer; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Susan Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Linda McGee; and other relatives and friends among them two devoted, Eva Chambers and Marie Brown. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4PM on Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday 1PM at Second Baptist Church, 1400 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. James Harris(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Monday.
