Roberson, Departed this life October 10, 2010. Mrs. Emily E. Churchwell Roberson of Richmond. She was the daughter of Harvey N. Marian Churchwell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar N. Roberson Jr. and one daughter, Deidre Mealy. She is survived by three daughters; Cheryl Spell-Adkins, Michelle Mealy-Williams and Antoinette Mealy-Reed; one son, Nelson Lee Roberson; five grandchildren; Clinton Spell II, Simone & Benjamin Williams, and Antonio & Regina Mealy; two great grandchildren, Anton and Amora Mealy; three sisters; Charlotte Walker, Pamela Somerville and Bernadette Brice; four brothers; Harvey, James, Leroy and Michael Churchwell; 1 aunt; 2 uncles; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son--in-law, Arthur S. Williams Sr.; one sister-in-law, Janice Churchwell; four brothers-in-law; Jeral Somerville, John Brice, and Irvin & Larry Roberson and other relatives and friends, among them a devoted Ernestine Barrett and Dorothy Allen. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 1PM at Fifth Baptist Church 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Saturday.Online
