Samuel Dale Phillips

Phillips, Departed this life October 13, 2010. Samuel D. Phillips of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samone Phillips and his father, Claude D. Phillips Sr. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Phillips; one son, Keith Balmer; his mother, Joanne Phillips; three sisters; Deborah Bright, Gloria Linton and Veronica Crawley; one brother, Claude D. Phillips Jr.; three aunts; two uncles; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his mother-in-law, Odell Winston; two sisters-in-law, Angela Fitzgerald and Laverne Phillips; four brothers-in-law; Wayne Winston, Sylvester Bright, Allan Linton, and Denby Crawley; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11AM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Entombment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fifth Baptist Church building fund.
