Almega Smith Macklin

Departed this life October 7, 2020. Mrs. Almega Macklin, age 94, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Harris, her second husband, George H. Macklin, Sr. and a step son, George H. Macklin Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Harris Waters(Kevin), two sons, Raymond “Brad” Harris(Darlene) and Anthony Harris(Carolyn); four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Lee Smith(Eula); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends among them a caregiver, Denita Nibbins. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Graveside services will be held at Chester Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 12535 Fowlkes Bridge Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002 at 12PM Thursday. Rev. Richard Bailey(pastor) Dr. Yvonne Bibbs off. Family and friends assemble at the cemetery 11:45AM Thursday.
