Alphonso Mills Sr.

Departed this life November 4, 2018.  Alphonso L.  Mills Sr., age 92, of Richmond.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Mills, one daughter, Ruby Ferguson and one grandson, Anthony Mills.  He is survived by one daughter, Bernadine Mills Givens, one son, Alphonso Mills Jr.(Patrice);  four grandchildren, Eric Givens, Duron Ferguson, Alphonso Mills III, and Lelia Burrell;  13 great grandchildren;  seven great great grandchildren;  a host of nieces, nephews and a devoted cousin, Lucille Smith  and other relatives and friends.  Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr.  Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue.  Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Mt.  Vernon Baptist Church, 1902 Rosewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.  Rev.  Michael Moore(pastor) off.  Interment Maury Cemetery.  Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
