Link to view service will be here https://www.periscope.tv/w/1zqKVepkDNPxB?q=jenkinsfh Anthony "Pop" Martin's first day on Earth was February 17, 1953. He was the oldest of 7 children born to the Late Thad and Lugenia Martin. Anthony was born and raised in Queens, New York where he started his education and finished at John Adams High School. In his last year in H.S. he was in a Co-Op Program which allowed him to attend school along with working. This work experience secured him a permanent job with Con Edison Energy Company as a Steam Mechanic. He was there for 17 years and later retired with Wildcats as a supervisor in 2009. In 2011, he relocated to North Chesterfield, Virginia with his wife Patricia "Pat" Martin and his Grand daughter Myasia Robinson, whom he has raised from 6 days old as if she was his own. (What a caring Grandfather he was.) Anthony and Pat officially met in 1988. On many occasions they crossed each others path. Imagine living 7 houses apart not knowing that the Love of your life was so close. One of Pat's bestie, Fatima, introduced the "Two Love Birds" and it was non-stop Love in the air. Anthony and Pat became husband and wife on March 29, 1992. They were definitely a good match on earth, and he will patiently await her soul in Heaven. Anthony was known to have a very pleasant spirit and was a calm & collective kind of guy. The kind of person that you would Love to call a friend. He Loved his wife and had a strong commitment to his family. He will definitely be missed by his soulmate- Pat. His hobbies were playing basketball in his younger days, bike riding, going to the movies, painting, playing chess, and he loved listening to Gospel and Jazz music. Pop loved to be around children. A baby would not be in Pop's presence crying, because he made sure he held them the whole time. The Grands are already missing you Pop! In 2012 Anthony joined Mt Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries, Pastored by Daniel Robertson Jr. and Co- Pastor Elena Robertson where he attended faithfully. He participated in the marriage ministry where he leaves a lot of memorable moments. He will truly be missed by his church family. Anthony's last day on earth was July 11, 2020, when his soul was transitioned to his new carefree home. " We are confident, I say, and willing rather To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" (ll Corinthians 5:8) Anthony Martin leaves this earth to join his dad and mom, Thad and Lugenia Martin, and his Daughter Nakya Robinson. He leaves behind family to cherish his memories: His Beloved Wife Patricia Martin, his 6 siblings: Barbara Simmons (Jesse), Linda Alexander (Ruel), Valerie Martin (Randy), Victor (Leslie), Anita Graham (Elder Willie Graham), Paul (Netfisha), 4 children: Curtis Martin, Jamal Martin, Taisha "SunShyne"Robinson, Kenneth Robinson, Like a son to Pop: Joey "MJ" Moore, 8 grandchildren: Cecil (Audrey), Dominique, Myasia (Jeff), Jordan, Jocarlo, Damius, Curtis Jr., Jacob, 6 great-grandchild: Saniyah, Lailah, Cecil Jr.("CJ"), Ari, Jacari and Míoni and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
