Bernetta Shaw Conway

Bernetta S. Conway, 75, of Richmond, Va. departed this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma C. Thornton, father, James Shaw, and devoted niece ,Nikia Shaw.  She is survived by two children, Jacquovia White and Bernard Conway (Trinette); six grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Shaw (Ellen); a host of cousins, relatives, and friends, among them devoted Jacquelyn Smith (L. Gregory), Betty Hicks, and Evelyn Ross. 

 

Her remains rest at the Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, Richmond, Va. where a viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, and a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023.  Rev. Dr. Ricardo Brown, officiating.  Family and friends will assemble at 12:45 p.m.  Interment to follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Glen Allen, Va.
