Carl Alford

Departed this life April 21, 2019.  Carl H.  Alford, age 76, of Richmond.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years Hattie B.   Alford;  two daughters, Carleen Alford Massey and Chanel Alford-Campbell(William);  two grandchildren, Natalie and Nathaniel Massey;   one sister, Vivian Lee;  one brother, Robert E.  Lee Jr.;  a host of nieces, nephews and cousins;  three sisters-in- law, Verlena Harris, Grace Hutchinson and Ruth Clifton;  one brother- in-law, William Thompson and other relatives and friends among them a devoted Sylvester Chavis.  He was a member of Lord Hannibal Lodge #327(Prince Hall Affiliated).  Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr.  Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon at Broomfield Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 609 Jefferson Davis Hwy.  Rev.  Gregory King(pastor).  Rev.  Kathleen Brooks(eulogy).  Interment Mt.  Calvary Cemetery.  Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Friday.
