Departed this life June 25, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Watson Van Ness; He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Van Ness; one daughter, Z. Van Ness; one granddaughter Brooklynn, Van Ness; two stepdaughters, Pamela and Cheri Hartwill(Robert); stepson, William L. Garlick Jr.(Imelda); one brother, John Anthony Van Ness; several nieces, nephews and cousins among them dedicated cousin, Roger Madison and other friends and family and loyal friend Dr. Anthony Hicks. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave where funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 6. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Saturday.
