Departed this life February 4th, 2021. Deaconess Charlene M. Kersey, age 63, of Richmond. She is survived by her husband ,Deacon William Kersey Sr.; one daughter, Twala White; two sons, William Kersey Jr.(Tangela) and Shajuan Edward Kersey; four grandsons; one great-grandson;  mother, Marlene Fowler; one sister, Renee Fowler;  a devoted aunt, Shari Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two brothers- in- law, Frank Kersey and Cornell Kersey(Benita) and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Deaconess Kersey can be viewed Friday from 10 to 8PM. Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery Saturday at 1PM. Rev. William H. Smith off. Family and friends assemble at the cemetery 12:45PM Saturday. The governor’s recommendation on social distancing will be applied.
