Claudia Ramona Jefferson

On the morning of December 20,2022, God with His infinite wisdom called home our beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Claudia Ramona “CJ” Jefferson in Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

Claudia was the youngest of four siblings and was born in Richmond, Virginia on December 31, 1958, to the late Catherine Terry Jefferson and Henry Jefferson. She was educated in Richmond Public Schools. She was a member of the Faith Baptist and served in its security ministry.

Claudia was a veteran of the United States Army and drove a bus for Richmond Public Schools and GRTC for several years. She loved her family and friends and loved to play bingo and go fishing. Claudia loved to laugh, have fun, and lived to life to the fullest.

She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Altena T. Gregory (Jack), a devoted niece, Kathy G. Lawrence of Richmond, Sabr Cole of Richmond, and Marion J. Jackson of Raleigh, North Carolina, a devoted great-nephew, Mark Anthony Lawrence, Jr. of Richmond, and her devoted aunt, Laverne Terry of Albany, New York, and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. In addition to her and father, she was proceeded in death by her brothers, Anthony A. “Butch” Jefferson and Henry A. “Pete” Jefferson., and a niece, Sylvia C. Gregory. Ms. Jefferson can be viewed Thursday from 10 to 8PM and funeral services will be held 11AM Friday at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home.
