Delores Munford

Departed this life July 13, 2018. Age 84.  Mrs.  Delores Munford of Richmond.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Munford Jr., one daughter, Susan Munford Alston and one son, Willie Munford III.  She is survived by three daughters, Gale Munford, Gwen Munford Jefferson,(Darryl), and Mary Catherine Munford Carter(Norman Jr.);  one son, Michael Paul Munford(Renee);  eleven grandchildren;  three great granddaughters;  one brother, General Charles M.  Hood(Elaine);  a  host of nieces, nephews and cousins;  a daughter- in-law, Carmen Munford;  son in law, Roger Alston and other relatives and friends among them three devoted, Josephine Sterns, Bessie Hawkes and Mary Mickle.  Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr.  Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue.  A funeral mass will be held Wednesday 10am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 909 Rennie Road where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.  Interment Riverview Cemetery.  Family and friends assemble at the church 9:45am Wednesday.  In lieu flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
