Donzella “Cole” White (affectionally known as Donnie) born on August 2, 1956 departed this life on November 17, 2023 joined by her parents,David and Margarie Cole. Donnie was raised and educated in Richmond, VA where she graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School. She proceeded to further her education in Maryland to pursue a degree in Nursing. After finishing her college education, she proceeded to follow her passion of becoming a nurse in Richmond, VA.
Donzella charmed everyone with her approachable spirit, smile, and contagious laugh. Donnie was a devoted servant of the Lord where she called her church home, Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Donzella was a warrior defeating breast cancer on two separate occasions within her lifetime, and living with chronic asthma. She lived for her family and community where she provided support to individuals of all backgrounds. Despite her troubles, Donnie always had a free spirit and her favorite saying was ““I’m alright”.
In 1997, Donzella met and fell in love with Anthony Cornelius White where they shared a life in Glen Allen, VA until he departed to be joined by the lord in 2013.
Donnie was the youngest sibling of five sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret “Nell” Cole, Addie Cole, and Brenda (Joyce) Cole. Donnie is survived by her sister, Helen Perkins (Bascom) and brother, Willie D. Cole (Bra) .
Donzella is survived by her devoted mother--in--law, Lydia Richardson.
Donnie (Ma) is survived by her children: Sabr Cole, Arthur Cole, and stepdaughter, Katasha Roberts. She is also, preceded in death by her stepson, Anthony F. Lewis(Turk).
Donnie (NaNa) leaves to cherish her memory of 4 grandchildren, Sabreka Cole(Jabari), Sabrien Meredith, Nasir Meredith, Arkiya Cole. plus 6 step grandchildren; Tashiana White, Tamara Roberts, Kasyn Cooper, Azariya Cole, Jaylah Thompson, and Carzell Matthews, whom she loved dearly.
Donnie is survived and loved by her adopted children, Randall Taylor, Alphelious Rooks(Mac), and Cecelia Rice, as well as her devoted Best Friend, Barbra Crockett, plus a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
