Mrs. Dorothy Shannon, age 96, formerly of Tuxedo Blvd. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Lee Shannon Jr. She is survived by five stepchildren, Dr. Charles Shannon III(Shirley), Dr. Wilson Shannon(Cynthia), JoAnn Short(Melvin), Pastor Michael Shannon(Deborah) and Naomi Smith(Marvin); a host of step grand and step-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held 11AM Monday. Pastor Michael Shannon off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The governor’s guidance on social distancing will be adhered to. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45AM Monday.
