Emma Darlene Nunery

Departed this life July 15th, 2023. Ms. Emma Darlene Nunery, age 73, of North Chesterfield. She was a retired educator from Richmond Public Schools. She is survived by two sisters, Mamie D. Nunery and Lillian Lampley; three brothers, Everett Cousins, Ellis Cousins and Wilbert Cousins Jr.(Daisy); and an adopted brother, Michael Dixon(Valerie); one aunt, Mamie McCoy; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among them Dorothy Hutcheson and Rev. Dr. Valdrie Elaine Walker; sister- in- law, Sandra Cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Ms. Nunery can be viewed Wednesday from 10AM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12 noon at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street, Richmond, Virginia 23220 or The Charmettes Inc., Richmond Metropolitan Chapter - P.O.
