Esther Mae Patron Hampton

Departed this life May 3rd, 2023. Mrs. Esther Patron Hampton, age 88, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Hampton Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Hampton-Thomas(Brian); one son, John Hampton Jr; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Patron Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Marie McGeorge; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mrs. Hampton can be viewed Tuesday from 10AM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11AM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Wednesday.
