Eva Wilma Simmons

Departed this life October 2nd, 2023. Mrs. Eva Simmons, age 83, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband,. Nathaniel Simmons and one son ,.Nelson Simmons. She is survived by four children,. Joanie Henderson(Earl), George Simmons, Terry Bolling and Deborah Simmons; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren;  two sisters., Velma Brinkley(Lee) and Lynn Redmond; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mrs. Simmons can be viewed Thursday October 12th from 10AM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday,. October 13th at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(Pastor). Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Friday.
