Fred Augustus Watkins Jr.

Departed this life October 15th, 2023. Fred Watkins Jr., age 75, of Richmond. He was born July 10th, 1948 to Fred Watkins Sr. and Mary Watkins. He retired from the Department of Public Works and the Maryland State Government. 

    He is survived by a devoted wife, Geraldine Watkins; three sons, Jay Watkins(Shenai), Lavelle Whitehead(Renita) and Fred Augustus Watkins III(Cristal); six grandchildren, Akiera, Lavelle Jr., Savannah, Julian, Kaleb and Zoe; one great granddaughter, Chance; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins;  two sisters- in- law, Maxine McNeil(Johnnie) and a devoted Wanda Hill whom he called “Sis .” Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30PM and where funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30PM. Dr. Theodore Brown off. Interment private. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 3:15PM Saturday.
