Frederick Luther McClatchie, 78, of Richmond, VA, departed this life on September 19, 2024. Fred was born in Trinidad & Tobago on September 7, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Amy McClatchie, his brothers,  Colville, Fitzroy, Gilbert, Carl, Irvin Phillip, and sister, Sylvia Knights.


Fred is survived by his children, Kevin (Nilca), Marvin (Sheena) and Brandon and their mother, Annette McClatchie; his grandchildren, Symone, Karina and Kaylei McClatchie; his siblings, Lloyd (Janice), Claudette, Kathleen, Esther, Emma John (Simon), Victor, Wendy Richmond, (Vincent), Wayne, Denise, Yvonne Ingram, St. Rose Jacobie (Audrey); his sisters-in-law, Yuille McClatchie, Dianne Phillip and Vero McClatchie; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime friend, Laverne Davis, her daughter Alex Fobbs, to whom he was a father figure to  her children.


The viewing will be on Sunday, October 6th from 10am to 6pm at Jenkins Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am on Monday, October 7th at Ephesus SDA Church, 3700 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA.
