George Roane Jr.

Departed this life on February 18th, 2025. George "Poopie George" Linwood Roane Jr., age 63, of Richmond. He is survived by eight children, Daquan Perry, George Roane III, Keeon Perry, Faith & Lee Lee Roane, and Donte, Crystal & Chantel Perry; twelve grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Smith(Fred) and Elizabeth Thomas; one brother, Lamont Cooley; one aunt, Diane Johnson(Lionel); two uncles, Chester and Thurn Sams(Makita); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends among them his companion, Chiquita Jones and two devoted friends, Tonya Perry and Kenneth Thomas. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mr. Roane can be viewed Friday, February 28th, from 10 AM to 8 PM and where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1st at 11 AM. Rev. Leroy Carey officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 AM Saturday.
