Gladys Davis

Departed this life November 17, 2018.  Ms.  Gladys Davis, age 80, of Blackstone, Virginia. She is preceded in death by one sister, Catherine D.  Thornton. She is survived by two sisters, Lillie G.  Venable and Edna D. Shackeleford(William);  one brother, Irvin F.  Davis;  a host of nieces and nephews among them Octavia, Krishelle, Eric and William Johnson;  a host of cousins;  and other relatives and friends.  Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr.  Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue.  Funeral services will be held(along with that of her niece (Jacqueline Y.  Johnson)  Friday 11AM at Sixth Baptist Church, 400 So.  Addison Street,where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.  Dr.  Yvonne Bibbs(pastor) off.  Interment Smith’s Family Cemetery in Saxe Virginia.  Family and friends assemble at the church   10:45AM Friday.
