Henry Sidney Taylor

On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Henry Taylor, age 97, transitioned peacefully at home from his earthly journey to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted family, wife Sharon J. Taylor; daughter, Tonya Nicole Taylor; sons, Michael Eric and Patrick Henry Taylor. Also left to cherish his memories are his mother-in-law, Janie L. Bagby; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three nieces; two nephews; a host of other relatives and friends. His remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. where Mr. Taylor can be viewed all day Thursday with family visitation  from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am at The St. Paul’s Baptist Church; 4247 E. Creighton Road, Dr. Lance D. Watson, Pastor, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral. Interment Amelia Military Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at church 10:40AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Henry’s name.
