Ira Calvin Turner

TURNER, IRA CALVIN, age 55, departed this life December 21, 2022. Born in Washington, D.C. to Jymm & Carolyn Turner, Jr., he attended and graduated from Armstrong Kennedy High School in Richmond, VA. He also became a faithful and active member (drummer) at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Glen Allen, VA. He was preceded in death by his son, Darius Trey Turner and his brother, James Edward Turner, III. He is survived by his daughter, Dariane Shanice Crystal Turner, mother, father, four sisters, two brothers, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration will be held at the St. John’s United Holy Church, 1507 N. 28th Street Richmond, VA on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
