Departed this life September 18th, 2022. James “Al” Johnson Sr., age 84, of Richmond. He was a member of Majestic Lodge #263, Richmond Consistory #22, Knights of Templar and Mocha Temple #7(all Prince Hall of Affiliated). Mr. Johnson was a  Past Potentate of Mocha Temple #7. He is survived by one daughter, Shanae Chavis(Keith); one son, James A. Johnson Jr.; six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends among them his devoted fiancé, Carolyn White. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30PM, in addition to the Burial Tribute by Mocha Temple # 7. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30PM at the funeral home, also.  Dr. Theodore Brown off.  Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 3:15PM Saturday.
