Julia Ett Haley-Egerton

Julia Ett Haley-Egerton, 76, of Chesterfield, VA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on December 25, 2022, at The Laurels of Bon Air. Born February 9, 1946, in Hazelwood, PA, she is preceded in death by her parents; Spencer and Ruth Haley, her brother, Randolph “Randy” Haley, sister Valerie Haley and her daughter, Sabrina Egerton. She is survived by her five children, three sons; Eddie Egerton and wife Crissy, Louis Egerton and Richard Egerton, two daughters; Tammy Sprague and Renae “Yvonne” Jackson and husband, Erick; Three brothers, Spencer “Tiny” (Ida), John, and Willie (Donna); Two sisters, Florence and Ruth, fifteen grandkids, twelve great-grandkids and a hosts of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Julia was a loving mother, sister, grandma, granny and friend to anyone she met, she had a wonder life living with her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Crissy.  She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays.  She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and spending time with family, especially her two sisters also known as the Golden Girls. No matter where she went, people would stop and talk to her like they were friends forever.  I would say 'Ma, who is that' and she would say, “the hell if I know”. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday
