Lillian J. Galloway

Departed this life December 11, 2017. Mrs. Lillian Galloway, age 88, of Richmond. She retired from Richmond Public Schools after 38 years of service. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and a past matron of East End Chapter 79, Order of the Eastern Star(Prince Hall Affiliated). She is preceded in death by her husband, Waymond T. Galloway and six siblings, among then a twin sister Louise Anderson. She is survived by a daughter, Tovelta Ross(Adolphus); two grandchildren, Sharlicia Young(William) and Latracia Ross; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a sister- in-law, Katherine Johnston; and other relatives and friends among them Jerome Frierson, Lolita Moses, Hilda Gray, Mildred Graham, her god daughter, Rev. Eboni Brickhouse and a devoted friend, Allen Roots. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 12 noon at Third Street Bethel AME Church, 614 N. Third Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Reuben Boyd(pastor) off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45am Tuesday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Third Street Bethel AME Church.
