Lillie Reed Barksdale

Lillie Reed Barksdale of Richmond, Virginia departed this life on July 28, 2020. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on February 21, 1945. She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Mr. James Herman Barksdale, her father, Mr. Johnnie Ralph Reed; one sister, Estelle Elizabeth Reed and one son, Keith A. Barksdale. She was baptized at an early age. She was currently a member of Triumphant Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Arthur M. Jones, Sr., Pastor

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lula Farmer Reed; her three sons; Jesse D. Reed (Angela), Earnest W.(Amy). and Herman L. Barksdale; one daughter, Emily B. Drummond (Kevin); seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great-great grandson, six sisters, Elsie Williams (Odell), Dorothy Hart (Rogers) of South Boston, VA, Thelma Brown, Sallie Kidd, Pearline Reed, Linda Barksdale; two brothers, Joseph Reed (Wilma) and Johnnie Reed (Susie) of Halifax, VA; two sisters-in-law, Emma S. Talley and Karen J. Barksdale; one brother-in-law, Marshall E. Barksdale; host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1400 S. Randolph Street, Richmond, Virginia, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John C. Reed officiating. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
