Lois Barnes

Departed this life October 5, 2017. Mrs. Lois Barnes of Richmond. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Chi Eta Phi Sorority and also the Charmettes. She is preceded in death by one grandson, Adrien Wright. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, James Barnes; one daughter, Taina B. Wright(Keith); one grandson, Anthony Wright; two great grandchildren, Shaniya and Navari Wright; two sisters, Earthalee Phillips and Jacquelin Benbow; two uncles, Vivien Deas and Oscar Rivers Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among them a devoted Roxanne Wall; two sister- in-law, Joan Barnes Kersey and Margaret Barnes; and other relatives and friends among them a devoted Cynthia Claiborne. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 11AM at Third Street Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 614 N. Third Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Reuben Boyd(pastor) off. Entombment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Friday.
