Mark Daniel Walker, Jr. entered into eternal rest on October 18, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Midlothian Virginia with his wife and family by his side. Mark was born January 28, 1978, to the late Mark Walker, Sr. and Annie B. Walker in Emporia, VA.
As a military Brat, Mark moved to El Paso Tx with his mother and sister where he attended school until moving back to Lawrenceville, VA where he began attending Brunswick County School System. He would then move to Germany during his formative years where he attended Department of Defense schools before returning to Virginia where he continued his education in Brunswick County.
Following school, Mark held numerous manufacturing and production jobs until he found his passion for Trucking. He became an Owner Operator; establishing his business, Second Chance Transportation LLC. His career spanned across a period of 20 years with the handle of “Big Country”.
Mark found his lasting love in his wife Patrice over 9 years ago when he said God told him he she would be his wife. They married February 22,2022.
Mark had a Big, Giving, Kind Heart whose selflessness extended to anyone in his presence. Like his mother, he had an infectious smile and a one-of-a-kind laugh that you’ll surely never forget. His Love and Passion rest in Family & Friends, Smoking a juicy pork shoulder or butt, Fishing, Listening to some Good Ol’e Southern Soul music, Traveling and of course rooting for “Them Boys” on any given Sunday. The focus of his life was providing and protecting those he loved. Mark had a remarkable personality and was loved by all he encountered.
Mark’s Love, Kindness and Giving Spirit will be survived by his loving and devoted wife: Patrice Walker of Chesterfield, VA.
