Nathaniel Ezra McCormick was born in Queens, New York on June 15, 1980. His family fondly referred to him by his middle name, Ezra. His friends would refer to him as Nate or Native. Ezra was social, artistic, expressive, and always passionate (especially about standing upside down on his head, which he loved to do as a child, something his older siblings can attest to). He would gather friends wherever he went and had a big personality and presence. He was hardworking and dedicated to any task he put his mind to. As a young man, he loved playing football with his neighborhood friends or participating in drama club (his gift for acting dramatically is something else his older siblings can testify to, especially when it came to parental chastisement). As an adult, his hobbies included film directing, production, cooking and welding. His interest in welding grew into a career at Four Square Industrial, where he built trade skills and lasting friendships. Ezra will always be remembered for his positive attitude, kind spirit, and selfless nature. He is survived by his mother, Elouise; his six siblings, Nakia, Ava Joy, Corey, Megan, Joshua, and Jessiah; and nieces and nephews, Anaiis, Solomon, Tristan, Layla, and Eli. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins 2011 Grayland Avenue where Nathaniel can be viewed from 10 to 8PM Monday. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday at North Gayton Baptist Church 3244 Pump Road. Interment Riverview Cemetery
