Oliver Robinson

Departed this life February 18, 2019. Oliver ”OJ” Robinson, age 72, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Robinson and two brothers, John and Robert Robinson. He was a member of King Solomon Lodge #27(PHA). He is survived by his wife, Gladys Robinson; two daughters, Johnetta and Jada Robinson; three sons, Lemma, Oliver Jr. and Phillipe(Tawana) Robinson; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Daisy McDowell and Betty Butler; three brothers, Ernest Simpson, L J Robinson, and Richard McKinnon(Gloria); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three sisters- in-law, Emma Jones, Rita Anderson(Calvin) and Sheila Frazier; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins JR. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12:30PM at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1200 N. 28th Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Sylvester Smith(pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:15PM Thursday.
