Went to be with the Lord on January 21st, 2021. Oscar "Bubba" Wendall Thornton Jr., age 70, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ethel Thornton, his cherished grandmother, Mamie Goodman and a nephew, Lennie Thornton. He is survived by his daughter, Keisha Thornton; one son, Cory Thornton; four grandchildren, Ayanna Saunders, Brooklyn Toney, Darryl Toney Sr. and Cory Thornton Jr; four sisters, Gail, Jackie, Lisa and Sheila Thornton; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends and his fraternity Omega Psi Phi. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Monday at 1PM. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Monday. The governor’s guidance on social distancing will apply.
