Otha Vann Carpenter

Departed this life June 10, 2019.  Otha Vann Carpenter, age 77, of Richmond.  He is survived by his wife, Claurice Carpenter;  one daughter, Vannetta Mickie(James Mickie & Barry Coe);  two sons, Claude Carpenter and Ahoto Mulazim;  five grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren;  two stepsons, Randy and Timothy Gardner;  three sisters, Vanessa Lourie (Richard), Patriya Stodghill(Charles) and Patrice Carpenter;  one brother, Ronald Carpenter( );  one aunt, Dorothy Carter;  a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a sister -in-law, Dorothy Forbes; one brother- in-law, Paul Jones and other relatives and friends among them a goddaughter, Toni Jackson.  Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr.  Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11AM at Second Baptist Church, 1400 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.  Dr.  James Harris(pastor) off.  Interment Mt.  Calvary Cemetery.  Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Tuesday.
