Perry Lee Briggs, Sr. .

Departed this life August 19th, 2021. Perry Lee Briggs, Sr. age 92, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dahlia Briggs and two granddaughters, Tabitha Briggs & Dahlia Bacon. He is survived by one daughter, Diane Bacon (Chris); two sons, Perry Briggs, Jr. and Robert Briggs, Sr.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. He was an inductee of the Maggie Walker Sports Hall of Fame. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mr. Briggs can be viewed Thursday from 10 to 8PM.   Funeral services will be held Friday 12 noon at Garland Avenue Baptist Church, 2700 Garland Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.
