Randolph (Pee Wee) Vernard Taylor, a son, brother, cousin, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend peacefully passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on March 28, 1931, he grew up in the Northside of Richmond and lived a joyful life, touching everyone who knew him. Randolph graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School and joined the Army on March 20, 1952. His years in the military instilled in him values of dedication and honor, which he carried throughout his life. Family gatherings were a cherished tradition for Randolph, where his lively spirit and love for fun brought warmth and joy to those around him. He was known for his happiness and infectious laughter, key traits that endeared him to family and friends alike. Randolph's surviving family members are his son, Donald Taylor, Sr. (Karen); daughter, Katrina Moore; daughter-in-law, Rev. Sheila Hicks Taylor; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Ethel T. Green; brother, James Taylor (Sandra); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will fondly cherish his memories. Randolph is preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Carrie Taylor; son, Randolph V. Taylor, Jr; and seven siblings. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him and sharing in his vibrant life. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all.
