Sandra Denton Yehiel

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022 the Lord called home Sandra Denton Yehiel of South Hill, VA. She was born August 5, 1951 in Raleigh, NC to Floyd and Iris Denton.

Sandra was a 1969 graduate of High Point High School in Beltsville, MD. In 1972 she graduated from the Johnston Willis School of Nursing and went on to receive her BSN from The Medical College of Virginia in 1994. Over the years she cared for many patients, sharing her warm smile, caring nature and calm spirit with everyone she encountered. She had a talent for knitting and crocheting and always enjoyed sharing her gifts with those she loved. She was a blessing and inspiration to those who knew and loved her.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents and her son, Matthew Edward Yehiel. She leaves behind to cherish her memory many devoted friends whom she considered her family, including her lifelong Sister-Friend, Bonz, lifelong friend of 53 years, Linda Wilson, lifelong friend, Connie Walton of Clinton, MD, lifelong friend John D. Crotts, Dwayne & Carrie Harris and their children, Cadie, Kelley, Addisyn, Camrynn, and Kenny, all of Mechaincsville, VA, and Karen Kelley of Glen Allen, VA.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Once those plans are in place they will be announced.
