Sylvia Freeman of Richmond, Virginia entered eternal rest on May 5, 2023. She is survived by her three children, Dorsey Freeman III; Kimberly Freeman-Hardy; and Randy Freeman; two grandchildren, DaShawna Freeman and Miah Hardy; one brother, Reginald Ammons; one son-in-law, Linwood Hardy; two sisters-in-law, Doris Marshall and Ellen Ammons; one brother-in-law, Lafayette Freeman, and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, Richmond, Virginia where a public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Sixth Baptist Church, 400 South Addison Street in Richmond, Virginia, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Dr. Yvonne Jones Bibbs (Pastor) will be officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Sixth Baptist Church at 12:45 pm. The interment will be held at New Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Nathalie, Virginia on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The family will receive friends Thursday 6:30 to 7:30PM
