Departed this life September 5th, 2024. Mrs. Thelma Denise Byrd, age 71, of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Byrd; one daughter, Tameka Scott (Tavarus); one son, Darrell Walker; four grandchildren, Darrell Walker Jr, Destiny Junius, Kharaun Junius, and Ra-Kaishia Smith; one great granddaughter, Serenity Walker; mother, Thelma B. Green; two sisters, Deborah Williams (Eddie) and Bernadine Elam; four brothers, Milton Wood (Faith), Wayne Green, Shallie Green (Deborah) and Dariel Green (Alicia); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law, Laverne Braxton; brother-in-law, Thomas Byrd (Martha). Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue., where she can be viewed all day Wednesday, September 11th and where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 12th. Family and friends assemble at the chapel 12:45 pm on Thursday.
