Tomika Miles Murray

Tomika Miles Murray, a cherished mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world on April 6, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on April 27, 1975, Tomika dedicated her life to caring for others, proudly working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in home healthcare. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to helping those in need made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A graduate of New Kent High School, Tomika carried a sense of joy and positivity that was infectious. Her happy and upbeat personality resonated with everyone she met. Spending time with her children and family was her greatest passion, and she found immense joy in creating precious memories with them.

Tomika leaves behind her beloved husband, Phillip Murray, and her four wonderful children: Shadaja, Janiyah, Shomari, and Jeremiah. She was also a proud grandmother to two grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and delight. Tomika is survived by her devoted mother, Chriscenia Miles Porter, and her two sisters, Romika Brown and Shanielle Porter. Her family also includes two aunts, three uncles, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of relatives and friends whose lives she touched.

A funeral service in honor of Tomika will be held at Fresh Annointing Cathedral, located at 3001 2nd Ave, Richmond, VA 23222, on April 12, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM,

Tomika Miles Murray will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, love, and the light she brought into the lives of many.
