Departed this life February 23, 2018. Ms. Valerie Ortiz, age 44, of Richmond. She is survived by two children, Chanel and Markel Ortiz; two grandchildren, Santana and Laila Ortiz; mother, Frances Ortiz; father James Ortiz Sr; one sister, Victoria Carter; one brother, James Ortiz Jr.(Christi); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Friday at 1PM. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Friday.
