Vera Friday Reed

Departed this life July 27th, 2024. Mrs. Vera Reed, age 72, of Chesterfield. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Lee Walter Reed; two sons Calvin Dampier(Lacristala) and Jesse Dampier(Tanya); seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a host of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends among them a host of god children. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mrs. Reed can be viewed Friday August 9th from 10AM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held 10AM Saturday August 10th at Open Door Ministries, 301 East South Blvd, Petersburg, Virginia where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.
