Xavier Darden Sr.

Xavier Darden, Sr. entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 13, 2023. 

 

Graduate of Richmond Public Schools, JHW (Wythe building) Class of 1985. Xavier was an entrepreneur and had multiple small business ventures. Budget Insulation and Darden Auto Detailing.

 

Xavier was a lover of sports and played basketball with a wicked left hand jumper. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, landscaping, home improvement projects, watching movies, listening to music (Babyface, Brian McNight and Lyfe Jennings were a few of his favorites), attending sporting events and fishing. The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Cowboys were his favorite teams.

 

Xavier was proceeded in death: Erik A. Darden (infant son), Robert & Eula M. Darden (parents), Robert E. Darden, Jamal A. Darden, & Tomar Darden (brothers) and Margie Smith (sister).

 

He is survived by Xavier Darden, Jr. (son) and Quiana Darden-King (daughter) (Ryan) 3 Grand children Ava M. Darden, Xola J. Darden and Xion M. Darden and Erica A. Darden (ex-wife)

Siblings: Halima Muhammad (Halim), Eula Lovelace (Abdullah) Myra Salaam (Muhammad, deceased) brothers: Bobby, Michael (Doretta), Ishmeil (Daurette), Jeremiah (Cheryl), Elisha (Valencia) and Uriah (Jennifer). With a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will recieve friends Friday July 28, 6:30 to 7:30P and funeral services will held Saturday July 29 at 1:30pm at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home.
